TREASURE AND HEART
In Matthew 6:21 Jesus says, "Where your treasure is, there your heart will be also." The point is crystal clear, we put our money into the things and people we love. For this reason, I want to say a huge thank you to those of you who are partnering with us through generous giving. We could not work toward this mission of church planting in Puerto Rico without you.
I'm particularly encouraged by this verse as I think about your financial partnership with us because it means two things about you:
Your heart is focused on God's kingdom. The gospel going into the nations and churches being planted is the way God's glory will spread across the earth as the waters covers the sea (Hab 2:14). Our family gets the great joy of pursuing this vision on the island of Puerto Rico. We are working tirelessly to ensure that we can move to Puerto Rico in a healthy way to plant a healthy, gospel-centered church that can spread the light of the gospel in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico and beyond. We truly believe that since you are supporting us in this mission you are investing in the growth of the kingdom of God.
Your heart is with us. We are often overwhelmed by the great love you all have for us. By giving to us and investing in God's call on our lives, we know that it is an expression of your love for us. Thank you so much! There are so many good movements of gospel ministry out there and it is a huge blessing to us that you would choose to unite with us with your generous support. We feel loved and supported and that means so much to us in these days.
We know you are not simply giving to us but also praying for us as we continue to prepare. Here's how you can be praying for us this fall:
Family: Our kids school year is beginning soon. Maria is still handling most of the educational load so pray for her! This year our kids will be joining a local arts community called Artios academy which we're excited about but it is new, so it comes with a measure of trepidation.
Church-Planting: I'll be a part of a church-planting cohort through the next year with Summit Collaborative while also taking about 12-15 credits of seminary classes from New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary. I'll hopefully complete an M.A. in Church Planting in the next year. All of this is to ensure as much as possible that when we move to plant we'll be set up for some long-term health and fruitfulness.

Currently, we need to raise about $500 more a month to make ends meet and we need another $1500 a month to cover education expenses, travel, and other costs. Any amount that the Lord leads you to give to our family will be greatly appreciated, but we are looking for multiple partners who will commit to a recurring gift of $50, $100, and $200 a month. Will you at least ask the Lord if He would have you partner with us in this way? Thank you!
