Giving Tuesday Update

Because its "Giving Tuesday" I'm sure you're getting many emails today and that's a good thing! The mission of God advances through generous partnerships. We are so grateful for the individuals, churches, and networks that are partnering with us as we set our sights to plant a church in Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. As you consider where the Lord would have you give for kingdom impact, my family and I ask that you remember us as we obey God's call to take the gospel to Puerto Rico. We strongly believe that the good news of Jesus is going to do a great work in the northwest region of Puerto Rico through the church planting ministry he has called us to. He's already working on the island. There's already some church planting movement happening there and we are excited to discover how God is going to have us fit into to what He's doing. God is with us and that gives us great confidence as we take each step into unknown spaces. Click the button to financially partner with us this giving tuesday!

Travel, Travel, and More Travel!

As I write this, I'm sitting in an airport about to get on my last flight of the year. It's been quite a fall of travels. All the locations in the map represent the last 4 months of trainings, conferences, cohorts, ministry and family travel.

Needless to say, I'm looking forward to December which will be a whole month of staying home, leading worship at Gospel Hope and spending time with family.

Church Plant Next Steps

Because I'll have less travel this next month I'll be able to devote more time to prepping for our move to Puerto Rico, just 6 months away. The big task is to find where we will live when we move there. As much as my family loves tent camping, I don't think the tent will hold up through the hurricane season! All joking aside, where we end up living is a really important decision and we would greatly appreciate your prayers on this particular point.

My church-planting goals for the month of December will be as follows:

  • solidify prospectus content and find a designer to create it

  • continue to raise funds for the church plant by reaching out to potential partners

  • recruit launch team members to join us

The Family

The family is doing well! This fall we have been able to become foster care parents, specifically providing respite care to relieve other foster parents. We've had two placements so far and the kids had a blast with the kids that were able to live with us for a short period of time.

We were able to see Grandpa Steve and Grandma Debby this month. We were also able to drive to Pittsburgh to spend Thanksgiving with my brother Jeremiah's family, which was a huge blessing.

Our kids have chorale recitals coming up and Josiah will be starting basketball at the local YMCA this week. Below is a good sampling of the last couple months for us.
